cannot use dvd/cd or transfer phone pics to w10 pc

DVD/pc tray will only open after repeated attempts but no activity on screen and tray light goes out after 60 secs.

 

I cannot transfer the pics on my phone to my w10 pc.

 

Both are recent issues for say 4 weeks.

I need answers to two questions please .......

 

If you connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable - can you locate the pics on the phone ?

If so - how are you trying to transfer them ?

 

Do this please -

In the Search Box [ bottom left of screen] type - system restore - hit Enter

you will see this:

 

Click on "System Restore" shown in the shaded box.

 

Then click "Next"

 

You should see the stored Restore Points.

Do any go back to before the start of your problem ?
