tismehi Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 When I finish what I am doing with my laptop, I always close the lid. When I need it again, I simply open the lid and it works. Today that changed for some reason. Now when I open the lid, no connections are available. I have to restart the laptop in order for my router to be found. It is an Acer Aspire E15. AMD A9-9410 dual core. 8GB ddr4 ram. 128gb ssd. 1tb hdd Quote
KenB Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Hi, Take a look here. Instead of the "Wired Ethernet Device" as shown - select your WiFi. Uncheck the box "Allow the computer to turn off this device ....... " I am hoping that you have this option. My version of Win 10 does not. Let me know how you get on.
