When I finish what I am doing with my laptop, I always close the lid. When I need it again, I simply open the lid and it works.

Today that changed for some reason. Now when I open the lid, no connections are available. I have to restart the laptop in order for my router to be found.

It is an Acer Aspire E15. AMD A9-9410 dual core. 8GB ddr4 ram. 128gb ssd. 1tb hdd

Hi,

Take a look here.

Instead of the "Wired Ethernet Device" as shown - select your WiFi.

Uncheck the box "Allow the computer to turn off this device ....... "

I am hoping that you have this option. My version of Win 10 does not.

Let me know how you get on.

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!

I sometimes have this issue and I turn to airplane mode and then turn off and connect to the internet and it works. Sometimes, I disconnect from the network and then connect back, this also works

If you attempt to alter a setting on your laptop, it can trigger some symptoms. What you need do to to open Device Manager, locate your wireless network adapter and right-click it and clear the checkbox that says ‘Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power’. This just might solve your Wi-Fi connection problem.
