Ali-B Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Hey, I got a Acer Aspire M1100 with vista for my christmas and have filled it with hundreds of crap so Im wanting to clear everything on it, I went to get my recovery disk but there wasnt one all I could find was 2 discs saying "blank recovery disk" on it. How would I be able to reboot my computer back to the way it was when I bought it, would I have to buy a brand new vista disk? Quote
maynardvdm Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Hi Welcome to FPCH Acer normally has a recovery partition. When the pc starts press alt-f10 or alt-f11 or just f10(my acer is alt-f10) this will alow you to restore it to factory defaults. If you do this you wil LOOSE all saved data Unless you have another partition where you can copy everything. You will still need to re-install the programs. RandyL Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Hi ali" Your system should also have the ability to create DVD recovery disks. I suggest you create them right away.
