JEBWrench Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 I'd probably go with that option too, but I've never had the patience to wait for Firefox to load to verify that it does, in fact, browse websites. :p Quote Need help with your computer problems? JEBWrench Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 I don't have that kind of patience either. XP works for me. The-Dragon-Man Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I would have to say firefox is way the best one out there so far. Never really got into google chrome Quote
Rosmon Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Favorite Browser I use both Firefox and Google Chrome on my notebook. They both both do virtually the same and appear quite similar, but Chrome is by far the fastest. I'll click on both on the task bar, Firefox first by a fraction of a second, and Chrome always opens first. Google Chrome is becoming very Big Brotherish though as it collects vast amounts of personal data on you. Just recently, after a fix job on my computer I had to re-download my browsers, when I logged-in to Chrome it restored all of my bookmarks;), but worrying to think about how much other data on you it has stored. Firefox was onto the Java case pretty quick and came up with a solution, so praise there too. I use them both for different functions to keep my bookmarks bars from getting overcrowded. Friends of mine with Mac swear by Safari, it does look pretty but was slow on my PC. And Explorer:(, that came with the computer, has been locked away with Bing in a backroom somewhere.:D Rosmon Quote
Plastic Nev Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 There are several browsers that have been released since this thread was started, most based on original engines that the three main ones work with which are Internet explorer, Firefox, and Chrome. the offshoots are many with at least one based on a slimmed down version of IE which is Flash Peak. Comodo released Comodo Dragon which uses the Chrome engine, Opera is I believe based loosely on Firefox, though not too sure of the technical stuff, though there are others including one called Iron which is one I have yet to try out, and not sure which engine that uses. Safari is the Apple Mac browser, though it works on Windows, it is supposedly the best for Mac and faster on them. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help.
