I went in to DOS and tried removing ALL atributes several times to no avail. I'm just trying to move my My Documents folder from my PC to my MAC via CD-R. This shouldn't be so difficult, should it<G>? Jack

I should have added that I CAN copy MDoc into a new directory on this computer, but not to a new CD-R. the exact error message is: "Cannot create or replace My Documents. Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full (I've changed 2 new cd-rs) or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use." Jack
Guest Jeff Richards Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Re: copying My Documents win98se It seems you are using the CD-writer in re-write mode. Try it in write-once mode (CD-ROM) instead. http://www.cdrfaq.org/faq01.html#S1-1 -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "Jack Sandweiss" <sandweiss@dslextreme.com> wrote in message news:138p59b9qo6g33a@corp.supernews.com... > Gary S. Also, MD is in the root directory, so the path is CD\mydocu~1. I also have the same problem when I try to copy a single folder within MD with the same error message. I'm going to try and fiddle with my CD copy program, or, I believe I might have Easy CD Creator somewhere, which always worked. I'll let the group know. Jack
