Double Click on a mapped network drive

Hello

There is something strange that i don´t fully understand, maybe someone

could help me with it.

I have a directory shared on the network, a Windows 2003 domain, this

directory is on a server that has other shares too but they work fine.This

one when you open MY COMPUTER,and double click on the network drive, ask you

with what program you wish to open it, as it was an unknown file. if you

right-click and select Explore, it works fine and open it.

How can i set the default action to be Open with Windows Explorer?

Download FixDrive.zip from my site here:

http://www.winhelponline.com/fixes/fixdrive.zip

Save the file to Desktop.

Unzip the file and run FixDrive.exe

Select the drive letter of the network drive

Click "Fix"

Thanks for for response.

Even it must works most of the times , i tried it and it keeps happening the

same thing.

When i execute the FixDrive program, appears a list with the network drives

, then i select the troubled one, and the results that shows is: "No changes

were made to the system, as no problems were detected".

Even so, i tried anyway to dobleclick on the drive and still keeps asking

for an application to open it.

I´ll tried to convice the client to access other way but it bugs me to know

why that happens.

Thanks for your help and if you think in something else ,please tell me I

really appreciate that.

Click Start, Run and type:

REG EXPORT "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2" "%userprofile%\desktop\drives.txt"

Press {ENTER}

Note that the above is a single-line command. (Watch for line wrap)

Then double-click the file "drives.txt" present in your Desktop. Copy the contents and post it here.

Thanks for your time, here i copy the drives.txt file , i hope you see

something there, the MapDrive with the problem is O:(\\servidor2\nc) and the

server IP is 192.168.10.50.I mapped the share directory on the same server

and happens the same thing.The Operating system is in Spanish.
