Guest sameer Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Hi i am using a win 2003 server and cleints win xp prof and win 2000 on few cleints i am getting a problem that after deleting the icons it reappers after i restart the computer.this is happening on clint computers. please help. sameer

What specific folder, file or shortcut is returning? Are you using roaming profiles? I often see the same situation here. To fix it, I log the user out, remove the local copy of the profile (after backing it up somewhere else), then have the user log in again. Now he should be able to delete those extra files permanently.
