Guest smitti Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Does xp sp2 give back hard drive space after files are deleted & recycle bin emptied? If not, how can I get that space back? I've deleted many files, and it doesn't appear to be giving back the space. Thanks for any info.
Guest R. McCarty Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Re: xp sp2 give back hard drive space after... Using any Norton Products ? - they include the Norton Protected Recycle bin, sort of a trash can within another trashcan or delete - "Are you Sure" then "Are you Really, Really Sure". Otherwise, deleted files/folders should return their space back to the Free Space table immediately. Guest smitti Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Re: xp sp2 give back hard drive space after... No, I'm completely Norton free after using it 15-20 years. Have heard so many conflicting opinions on using Norton that I wanted to try it without for a change. "R.
