Guest jeanette Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Re: Ad Aware 2007 Updates, 7/7/07 Hello again heather, i see you traded in donuts for alkee-hole. (na, just kidding ya.) gotta admit, this particular thread is full of people who havent got a clue what the 'after-life' is....... if they did, they wouldnt write it like that. (99.999999% of ppl dont understand what is after the depletion of the body they were given to use while roaming this planet.......... and thats why they joke about it, ... it relieves fear.) Anyway girl, just wondering if you can help in my 3D world for a sec.. My Adaware wont let me d/l updates. It gets to 5% then shouts "error". I've d/l'ed them manually, but when trying it via adaware, tis always the same error. I went to Adawares site, but it seems i'd have to join a forum in order to post a question, adaware didnt have a 'contact-us' link that I saw. Forums to me always seem too slow and over-rated, hence why i choose newsgroups. Anyhow, I posted in this thread just because it had an open discussion on adaware, and I know this group constantly monitors adawares updates as well as spybots, and hence quite a few here know more than the average joe about those two utilities. (but i cant believe i am posting to this group so soon again.) J

Two possibilities Jeanette - either the servers may be playing-up (but they *usually* right themselves by the next day) or you *may* have a corrupted (Ad-Aware) file somewhere. Probably the easiest course of action is to uninstall Ad-Aware and then re-install it. IIRC, it has been a solution to this and similar issues with Ad-Aware over the past few years.
