Guest andrew-gb Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Strange I install xp into c partition (which been deleted before the installation. After installation when I boot up, it shows dual boot and also in the boot.ini. I also reformat the D partition after installation of xp. In the C partition, there is only 1 windows folder WINDOW Although I can set the time to 5 sec instead of 30 sec in the boot.ini, but I preferit does not show any " presence" of 2nd xp. Is there anything wrong with the mobo/bios?

If you deleted the partition and then proceded to recreate the same partition without a reboot - this can happen. Your problem, however - is easily solved by editing the Boot.ini and eliminating the bogus entry. -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
Guest andrew-gb Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Re: why boot ini - shows dual boot I deleted the 2nd entry in the boot.ini.
