Log On Screen and screensaver

Hi all,

I just started experiencing a problem I've never had before in XP. I bought

a new hard drive, installed XP, and now when my aquarium screensaver kicks in

after so many minutes, when I come back to close the screensaver, and want to

use the computer again, the screensaver closes, but now for some reason my

computer has gone back to the XP logon screen, where I have to select either

my administrator account or limited account, and enter the appropriate

password, to get back to the screen I was working on before the screensaver

started up.

I never had this issue in the past with XP.

Anyone know what's kicking XP back to the logon screen whenever my

screensaver kicks in?

I can't find any settings to turn this situation off?

Thanks for any support in advance.

Control Panel > Display > Screensaver tab > Enter password at reactivation

(or similar since translated on-the-fly) > untick that checkbox.

Re: Log On Screen and screensaver

FYI, that's "On resume, display welcome screen".

HTH Tony.

Thanks. Since there is no other checkbox regarding that tab, the OP

should have found that option anyway. ;)

Re: Log On Screen and screensaver

Thanks Dedlev Dreyer,

Classic case of having gone to that setting page a million times, and have

always rushed into the screen saver settings options, never looking at what

was right there in front of me staring me in the face, "return to welcome

screen at resume".

You saved the day, I owe you a cold one if that's your fancy.
