Installation Source Not Available

Hi,

I have office 2003 loaded on an xp laptop. Outlook is not running at all

and when I open Word and Excel it starts and install wizard. Eventually it

brings up these programs successfully. I tried to do a repair in Outlook but

this did not work. I decided to uninstall office from add/remove programs.

When I select Office 2003, I get a message that states "The installation

source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and

that you can access it." Can anyone help? I thought an uninstall and

reinstall would fix the issue but since I can't uninstall I am not sure what

to do next.

Thanks

Information about the ability to uninstall Office updates

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/903771

Insert your Microsoft Office 2003 CD. Go to Start->Run and type in

D:\setup.exe /x pro11n.msi /qb and hit OK. Replace D: with the letter of your

CD drive. See if that will uninstall the Office software.
