Guest kc2kth@arrl.net Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 It appears that I am unable to install software on Windows Storage Server 2003 R2. Specifically I am trying to install the Exchange System Tools as we require the MAPI piece for a file management related service. Attempting to kick off the Exchange installation I receive the message: Windows cannot open this program since it has been disabled. >From searches I've deduced that Storage Server is based on 2003 Server Web Edition and this is a limitation (understandably) built into Web edition. However, this isn't a web server. This is a file server that I believe should behave more like one. Has anyone else run into this and, although I'm quite certain I know the answer, is there a workaround in order to get the ESM installed on Storage Server? thanks in advance!
