Guest Optimus Secondary Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Hi! How will I limit columns that will be showing in excel sheet? e.g. columns A-I only I just wanted to stop the cell pointer upto the I-column only. Did you get my point? How will I do that please? Thank you!
Guest RajKohli Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 RE: Little help for excel This is not the place for Excel questions. Excel Web News Group: http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.excel.misc&lang=en&cr=US However, if I am not wrong you can try this. By default, all the Cells of an Excel Worksheet locked but the locking only works when you Protect the sheet. So, my advice is : 1. Select the columns from A to I from the headings (so the entire columns get selected) 2. Right-click on any Cell and choose Format Cell. 3. Click Protection tab and uncheck the Locked option. 4. Now, click Tools - Protection - Protect Sheet 5. If you have Excel 2003 then there will be an option which you should unselect. The option is "Select Locked Cells". Uncheck this option so only the unlocked cells may select. Hope this help, let us know!
