Guest Harold Tynan Jr Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I hope someone can help me here. My Microphone Icon is suddenly not working. I have a Dell with WinXP that I bought a year ago. A few days ago, my Microphone Icon decided it could no longer work with my Logitech headset. I retested my Logitech headset per its instructions, and it is working perfectly fine. So it's not the headset. I have no clue what is going on here, and why the Microphone Icon won't cooperate with a perfectly functioning Logitech headset. I hope some kind souls here can help me out. Thanks, Hal

I have a simaler problem. I may sound like a perpetual nooner, But i don't know where the mike icon is supposed to be. my symptoms are 1. Volume levels appear ok for microphine, & speaker, in and out. I can get microphone audio function if I enable microphone in audio volume panel ( feeds direct to speakers only) in controle panel/sounds & audio devices. 2. No bar movement in Controle panel/speech, speech recognition/microfone. 3. Sound recorder can't record from microphone, or cd playing, with cd audio selected. Reloded sound card drivers. Ran sfc\scannow. got sober. nojoy.
