Guest Sandy Wood Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I've noticed lately that my Windows 2003 R2 DHCP server is showing evidence of tcpsvcs.exe sucking up too much memory. This morning I started getting MOM alerts that there was excess memory consumption from tcpsvcs so I killed the process (it was using 650 meg of ram) and it started again at about 10 meg. It's currently at about 25 meg. MOM is detecting that it's using too much ram and sending me alerts. Does anyone have any idea on this one? I've seen other posts in this forum with similar issues but no resolutions. -- Sandy Wood Orange County District Attorney

Guest Sandy Wood Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Re: tcpsvcs.exe taking all my memory! Thanks for the link. That's as close as I've come to finding a fix. Unfortunatley, none of the fixes work for me. This server is a print server as well as a DHCP server too. This may have something to do with it. For now, I'll have to create a scheduled job to reboot the server every night to keep the memory in check. I can't think of another way. -- Sandy Wood Orange County District Attorney "Jabez Gan [MVP]" wrote: > Hey Sandy, > > Maybe this helps? > > http://www.gidforums.com/t-6079.html > > -- > Jabez Gan [MVP] > Microsoft MVP: Windows Server > http://www.blizhosting.com > MSBLOG: http://www.msblog.org > > "Sandy Wood" <sandy.wood@nospam.com> wrote in message > news:F55D4A4C-6B76-4B1B-859F-703684A72B22@microsoft.com... > > I've noticed lately that my Windows 2003 R2 DHCP server is showing > > evidence > > of tcpsvcs.exe sucking up too much memory.
