Hello,

 

1) You can run a port scanner against the server--there are a few free ones

available.

2) In SP1 there is a built-in firewall like in XP SP2, but it's not

activated by default. You can block inbound traffic with that.

Control

Panel|Network|"connection"|Properties|Tcp/Ip|Properties|Advanced|Options|Tcp/Ip

filtering|Properties
