How does Microsoft define a user for the User CALS?

We have about 250 Users. We have an additional 200 or so shared accounts;

aka resource accounts (calendars, conference rooms, etc).

Do we need 250 CALS for the 250 people accessing all the accounts?

or do we need 450 CALS for each account that has access to the network?

thanks

Re: Definition of User CALS

A user is a user = a user. Doesn't matter if you have "shared" user

accounts. Any user that logs on and is "authenticated" needs a CAL.
