Guest Alice Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 My default gateway (on WinXP Pro SP2) is 10.10.12.1 and the IP address of my PC is 10.10.13.181. I think this is why I have trouble logging in to the network every morning. Is it the default gateway IP that needs to be changed? PC's computer name was changed about a month ago. Thanks. -- Alice.
Guest SBS Rocker Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Re: Default Gateway IP different from IP address of PC Absolutely correct Alice. Two different subnets. Your gateway should be pointing to your DC. Guest Ehren Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 RE: Default Gateway IP different from IP address of PC What is your subnet mask? Its possible that those are both on the same network if the subnet mask defines it as such.
