Guest Wolfeymole Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Hi Jack It sounds like you have the file system set to FAT32, it needs to be NTFS. Right click on My Computer and choose Manage then choose Disk Management in the Storage section. Tell me if you see FAT32 in the drive information for the Samsung. Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 If you do see the file system set as FAT then you will have to convert to NTFS to realise the full 500GB. For more information look here; How to convert a FAT16 volume or a FAT32 volume to an NTFS file system in Windows XP Quote
