Guest Jim Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 I have noted that since kb891711 and kb918547 security updates that load in startup in msconfig, the mouse has so freezing in its motion. Am I alone in this observation? Is there a remedy/patch? tia

Guest Jim Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Re: mouse behavior I have turned on the mousekeys option to compensate for this "freezing" and jerky behavior of mouse. Why no response from anybody out there?! Guest Gary S. Terhune Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Re: mouse behavior Have you tried uninstalling the Updates to see if that fixes it? Just as a test. Also, have you tried using Device Manager to uninstall the mouse and then restart to have it reinstalled. Note that you'll need to know how to use keystrokes to restart. -- Gary S. Guest Jim Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Re: mouse behavior Thanks for the reply Gary. I have been just putting up with it. I will try those ideas and work with it for awhile and then get back to you all. I think I did uncheck these at one time in msconfig startup. These were security updates; true? I am hoping that it is not more good old gov spyware... Anyway it does do better without these implemented to my remembrance. "Gary S. Guest Gary S. Terhune Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Re: mouse behavior If they're in MSCONFIG (I don't have on in front of me), then you might be able to test, but if it's inconclusive, you'll have to try uninstalling them (if possible.) -- Gary S. Guest Jim Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Re: mouse behavior I reinstalled from Windows Update catalog; kb891711. I will later this weekend test it on|off in msconfig startup. tia-maria "Gary S.
