Guest David H. Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 We have a number of new desktop PCs running Windows XP, and several of them seem to be doing offline file synchronization without ever having been asked to do so. These machines are stationary and never used offline, so we don't want them sync'ing. Can you help me understand why this starts happening, and what would be the best way to reverse and prevent it? Even more bizarre: One user was not logging off at night, and somehow the computer thought he was working offline. As a result the files he created or edited from day to day never got synced up to his home folder on the server, and were not being backed up! What could cause that? (Network is AD, native mode, Win2003 servers, no relevant policies in place.)
