I have a server which I have to remotely access over a Windows Based VPN.

What I have is a Linksys Router which I configured PPTP. I also have a fixed

IP for the Router. However, I don't seem to get to the server. What do I

have to do on the server that I can access it and then also to get from the

server to the clients.

Thank you

Re: VPN Access

Somchai, have you forwarded port 1723 through the Linksys to your server IP?

another thing to look out for is having similar private ip addresses

e.g.

192.168.1.x as your business and 192.168.1.x network ip at home (or

wherever) if you can change the network ip at home to 10.10 or 172.16

that may help.
