Guest Outbacker Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 is it possible to copy a file in an RDC session running on my laptop and paste it on my local laptop desktop? if so, how? i am connected to the work server when running RDC and i am the newbie administrator with admin rights. thanks for any assistance.
Guest Ryan Hanisco Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 RE: copy/paste between RDC session and desktop There is a plug in to RDP that allows this but I am having a devil of a time finding it. I haven't had to look for it in a while. Most people, however, jsut use mapped drives or UNC paths to shares to move things back and forth. Hope this works for you. -- Ryan Hanisco MCSE, MCTS: SQL 2005, Project+ Chicago, IL Remember: Marking helpful answers helps everyone find the info they need quickly. Guest Ryan Hanisco Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 RE: copy/paste between RDC session and desktop Yes, that will work to map drives. There is a plug in that lets you cut and past files between the desktop and an RDP session. I'll keep looking. -- Ryan Hanisco MCSE, MCTS: SQL 2005, Project+ Chicago, IL Remember: Marking helpful answers helps everyone find the info they need quickly.
