Guest Tom Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 Is it safe to delete the update backup folders in the C:\Windows folder (i.e., $NtUninstallKB896727$). I understand that it will prohibit the uninstallation of the update but it seems unlikely that we'd do so. Thanks, Tom
Guest Dragos CAMARA Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 RE: Update backups hi, you can delete that folders, but as you think after delete you cant uninstall that updates. -- Dragos CAMARA MCSA Windows 2003 server "Tom" wrote: > Is it safe to delete the update backup folders in the C:\Windows folder > (i.e., $NtUninstallKB896727$). > > I understand that it will prohibit the uninstallation of the update but it > seems unlikely that we'd do so. > > Thanks, > Tom > > >
Guest verukins Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Re: Update backups Dragos is right - but also keep in mind that this can cause the application to not be uninstallable... Eg. With ISA 2004, after deleting the updates, the product will not uninstall if the updates specific to the product are missing.
