Clearing DEP Messages for Generic Host Process for Win32 Services

Recommended Posts

It's July 14 and I have these DEP messages going back to July 6. I got

tired of having to hit enter twice, once for the error message and once to

send a report to the oblivion of Microsoft.

I learned that I could get on with using my computer by just moving the

error message to the bottom of my screen and ignoring it.

I've been reading the posts and I may have figured out how to resolve my

problem with yet another Microsoft download. In fact, my problem may have

been resolved, but Windows seems to be unwilling to let go of these error

messages.

Is there anyway I can flush these out of my system, or am I doomed to

hitting the enter key about 42 times while I dream of owning an Apple?????

Hi Anne,

Please take the time and try to squeeze your memory, did you install in

Hardware recently or software other than the MS updates?.

Rad this Info on this link:

Anne: I have been having same problem. By any chance do you use a HP

All-In-One Printer? I went to HP for any updates this morning for my laptop

(also HP)and "behold" the first critical update referred to my problem. I

downloaded all of HPs updates and my problem was solved. No more of those

pesky DEP popups when I boot my laptop. The laptop is a zd8000 with Media

Center 2005. My All-In-One is a HP Photosmart 2710. I really hope this

helps you as I have researched this problem for 2 weeks and was getting ready

to do a full recovery. So glad I didn't.
