Guest linder.be@googlemail.com Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Hello, I set up a Windows Longhorn Server 2008 with Terminal Services for testing the Plug and Play redirection. I have tested it with Windows Mobile Devices, Microsoft Webcam, Logitech Webcam but it won't detect or install any driver. The redirection of drives works perfectly. No problems there. Anybody got this to work? I'm using Terminal Services in Windows Server 2008 Beta 3 and Windows Vista Ultimate Client. Greetings
Guest Jeff Pitsch Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Re: Plug and Play Redirection issue If I remember right, you need special new drivers using a new type of driver redirection for these things to work. linder.be@googlemail.com wrote: > Hello, > > I set up a Windows Longhorn Server 2008 with Terminal Services for > testing the Plug and Play redirection. I followed the guide at http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/driver/install/ts_redirect.mspx but it didn't work. What about digital cameras, got one. But still no Inbox support. : ( Any more ideas?

Guest Rong Chen [MSFT] Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Re: Plug and Play Redirection issue 1) Device redirection is not turned on by default. Can you see the devices being selected in client UI->Options->Local resources->More->Supported Plug and Play devices? 2) If you do have them selected in step 1, then my guess is probably you don't have DesktopExperience package installed on the server Thanks Rong -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
