Guest Nomaan Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Hello, I am planning on upgrading my SQL server to Windows 2003. The current OS is windows 2000. The server is proliant ML 350. Please advise on what would be the best method of doing this upgrade. All the help is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

IF you have to upgrade on the same hardware, back everything up, upgrade all apps on the server to required SP's levels to work with 2003, then upgrade the OS.

Thanks, I agree that leap frog is the best option, but in this particular case, it isn't available. Has anyone done an inplace upgrade on Windows 2000 to Windows 2003? My main concern SQL. Would it somehow stop functioning?
