It *is* a State seekrit, but I'll tell you anyway. Then I'll have to

kill you. ;-)

Control Panel>Display>Appearance tab>Advanced button

Notice the drop-down arrow to the right of the Item window. Click that

drop-down arrow to get lots of choices, including the font size for your

menus. Make one change at a time and see if you like it. Once things are

the way you want them, OK/Apply/OK.

Re: Font size setting

This does not work, the Menu item is set at Calibri 13 points and the menus

in programs look ok but not in Start>Programs - they appear at what looks

like 8 points Calibri.

Right click the Start button and select Properties.

On the taskbar and start menu click Start Menu then click on Customize button.

Under General tab select this:

Click [OK]

And do you have web items enabled, say on the Display Properties under the

Desktop click Customize Desktop, then click on Web tab is there is any check

box checked?.

Re: Font size setting

This is quite a new installation of the OS (XP Pro), just a few days old.

No Icon editing tools or utilities have been used on this machine.

I had used a website to create some icons for a website I had designed on my

old computer and this site is now on the new machine and has been publised

from the new machine.
