Guest norborder Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 In my less than saavy computer days, I installed "Norton System Works Utilities 2003". When I recently tried to uninstall the software, I get a message similar to: "Uninstall log file not valid or data has been corrupted. Uninstall will not continue." Granted, this has not caused any harm or problems with the computer, but I'd like it off of there. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!

We've been down this road before, and as I mentioned previously I could care less about site hits. They mean squat to me and I have no gain from them whats-so-ever. Guest Newbie Coder Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Re: Uninstallin Norton Plato, Why are you always pushing people to this Bootdisk site? Years ago I used to go on that site but bypassed it due to all the popups... Now, I have no need to go there as most of the boot floppies are available on the Microsoft site, which is also popup free. Norton have their own forums (https://forums.symantec.com/syment/ & choose ENDPOINT Security) & their own tools. They have Symantec engineers answering posts in these free forums too Symantec e-mailed me last week & said NEVER download their tools from another website. I am also waiting to hear if you need permission to host their tools on your site too. For enquiries you have to ask them via the Symantec Store contact form (http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoffice/support/cs/contact_cs_nam.jsp & click the E-MAIL option). They will then e-mail you back within 24 hours, but I have waited far longer so far -- Newbie Coder (It's just a name) "Plato" <|@|.|> wrote in message news:46a40259$1$161$bb4e3ad8@newscene.com... > MedRxman wrote: > > > > The following Norton Removal removes all Norton Products when add/remove > > program route fails. > > http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039?OpenDocument > > Other Norton removal tools: > > http://www.bootdisk.com/helpdesk.htm > MORE UTILITIES > >
