What is it that you want this "DVD decoder driver" to do? Rip DVDs to disk? Play back DVDs by itself? Play back DVDs in some other program? Or is it something else entirely?

We could have deleted some of the files for it, so we're not sure if to install a new one or try downloading another one off the internet.

It looks like you have sent an empty post otherwise. What you want is an mpeg 2 decoder. This is the compression used by DVD video. If you have PowerDVD, Nero burning ROM which can create DVD video discs or any other DVD player or DVD disc creator, (usually bundled with new DVD drives), then chances are these programs have installed a DVD decoder on your system. Did you uninstall any program that can create DVDs or view them on your PC? In any case, try searching for OpenSource MPEG2 Video Decoder. This will probably work for you.
