Guest Michael Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 We just moved all the operations from a File/print server to a new one and everything is working except for a shared excel spreadsheet. the users are reporting that they get "Delayed write failed" when trying to write to this shared file. I have checked all the settings and permissions and they are able to use other files fine. I have found some notes on the web about auto neg between the nics and the switch port. the old server were HP NICS and now they are Built in Broadcom cards teamed together. Any thoughts? thanks
Guest Ryan Hanisco Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 RE: Excel and Delayed write failed Michael, Break the team to see if it fixes the issue. If they are properly team, the risk you incur is of nic failure. since you'll be watching it closely, the risk is mitigated. This is the first step in troubleshooting this. -- Ryan Hanisco MCSE, MCTS: SQL 2005, Project+ Chicago, IL Remember: Marking helpful answers helps everyone find the info they need quickly.
