Guest just bob Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 After a reboot over the weekend our admins can no longer remote desktop to administer a 2003 DC server which is also our file/print server. I checked the event logs on the client and the server and there are no relevant entries. It is as if the RD service is not running but it is. No other problems with the server, it's running fine, our users are reporting no issues and again, the event log is clean. Any ideas? Thank you, -Bob
Guest Jorge Silva Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Re: Can no longer remote desktop to a 2003 server Hi Did you uninstalled MCAfee? -Check if RDP is configured to listen in all NICs that you need to access. -If the above is correct go to cmd and type netsh winsock reset all, then reboot the machine and try again. -If the problem still remains, follow: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/317518 -- I hope that the information above helps you. Have a Nice day. Try "telnet <server> 3389". If you don't get a response then either RD is not running or a firewall is in the way.
