Re: TS CAL Monitoring and Alerting

Hi,

I've seen some artiles about Terminal Services License Server WMI provider

to monitor available lisences. They use the following classes:

Win32_TSIssuedLicense

Win32_TSLicenseKeyPack

Win32_TSLicenseReport

Win32_TSLicenseReportEntry

Win32_TSLicenseServer

I couldn't find these clases on my W2k3 TS Licensing servers, I suppose it's

because they require TlsWmiProv.mof

Does anyone know how to get it installed?

Thanks!!

Regards,

Lu.

I could be totally off here, but I noticed that all pages on MSDN

about these classes have a banner saying "This page is specific for

..NET 3.0 Framework". Have you installed .NET 3.0?

Re: TS CAL Monitoring and Alerting

Hi Vera,

Thanks for your reply. This is page I'm accessing:

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/EN-US/library/aa383803.aspx

I couldn't find and .NET framework 3.0 reference in there... I'm not using

..NET 3.0, but I don't see how it would add the WMI providers. At the bottom

of the page, it says the TS Licensing server WMI MOF is required, but I have

no idea where I can find it, or what software it is shipped with... Any ideas?

Re: TS CAL Monitoring and Alerting

You're right, only installing .NET 3.0 isn't enough, you need

Windows 2008 (aka Longhorn) as OS.

Documented here:

What’s new in Terminal Services Licensing for Longhorn? Part 5

services-licensing-for-longhorn-part-5.aspx
