Has to be in like manner to mavis to keep the kids interested.... you know,

http://www.google.com/search?q=freeware+typing+tutor&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1

The above site is a Google search for 'freeware typing tutor'.........as

there are over a million hits, you should be able to find something to your

liking. Note: whatever app you decide upon, make sure it comes from a

reputable site and includes an uninstaller. It would be a good idea to set

a restore point prior to installing the app.....just in case. After you

have found an interesting app, be sure to do a Google search on that

particular app to determine its' quality, etc.

For example: <name of app> problems , <name of app> opinions , etc. Do

this BEFORE installation!

Heirloom, old and Google is good

Thanks Heirloom, and I did Google first, always do.

Was just wondering if anyone here knew of something similar to mavis that

is on the freebie list.... I always like to ask first about utilities

in case

someone has experience with any of them.

I checked http://www.oldversion.com in case mavis was there, but alas, no

luck. I really did like that program myself, and I know the kids would

enjoy it too, without even realising they were learning.

That said, maybe I should just go out and buy it.

(nah, food is too expensive along with petrol, i'll keep looking on

google for a freebie...... off you go magic boomerang, find me

what i want.)
