Guest Nime Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 \\machine\folder like places have problem. Explorer freezes for 20 30 seconds. I cannot browse folders/select files easily... Those folders are simple shared ones. I have no idea yet. Maybe my manually configured IP causes that slowness... I'm not sure. Ping results approx. 0 milisecond : )

Ping results approx. 0 milisecond : ) Hi, One possible cause may be that your computer may be checking for scheduled tasks to be run on the network. Usually you don't have any, but the network connection checks anyway, if the Registry key indicated below exists. Open the Registry Editor (Start => Run and type in regedit) Navigate to this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer \RemoteComputer\NameSpace\ Check if this sub-key exists, with a String Value of 'scheduled tasks' {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF} If it exists, Export the key first for safety, and then Delete it (that's the {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF} key ONLY. Restart the computer.
