Upside-Down Screen Content

My cat lay along the lower end of my keyboard while the computer was on -

which turned the contents of the screen upside down!

Re-booting and shutting down have failed to solve the problem. I also tried

systems restore but that didn't work either, although I'm not sure if I was

using it correctly.

All the start-up data is the right way up, but everything goes upside down

from Windows "Welcome" onwards.

Can you suggest any key combination that might fix the problem? Or anything

else? What combination of keys might the cat have pressed to cause this?

Any answers, tips or ideas would be much appreciated.

This is a function of your videocard,

Rightclick on the desktop, choose properties->settings->advanced.

Somewhere here you can find the rotation settings of the screen.

Check that [likely successfully], but also, depending upon your video

driver, it may have additional screens for adjusting within its own

Control/Settings Panels..

Key combination can be specific to each individual card.chipset and driver,

or personal settings which you may have applied...

If not able to find these or correct the issues this way, post the

card/chipset [so the *normal* reg settings can be cross-checked with any

specific card settings] and perhaps some registry modifications can be

found.

I don't think that can happen in Win98. You are XP-irradiated or are

Win2K maybe.

Screen Flipped Upside Down

PC Errors, Help, and How-to'sDid you walk back to your computer after

lunch to find your entire screen is upside down? You have fallen victim

to one of the most common office gags. Read this article to find out how

to undo this.

Holding down CTRL and ALT while pressing the DOWN ARROW flips the screen

upside down.

To undo it, and flip it back to normal, hold down CTRL and ALT and press

the UP ARROW.

........EOQ....................

SO, don't let that cat get at your computer during lunch!

Thanks PCR! Control Alt Up fixed the problem. Actually, the cat was trying to

have a nap on the computer after his own lunch. I missed mine due to screen

inversion.....Best, Noorjabal
