Guest Janetb Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Is there a way to choose which devices get which drive letters? My Smartmedia cardreader was unplugged when I installed a new external hard drive for backup, and the new HD took the G:/ which I am used to having as the cardreader drive. How can I make the card reader G:/ and the new ext hard drive I:/ (I already have another external hard drive H:/ for all my personal data). -- Thanks for the help! Janet

Guest JS Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Re: Choosing drive letters Right click on My Computer, select Manage, then under the Storage option select Disk Management. Now in the right hand pane right click on the Drive or partition that you want to and select Change Drive Letter and Paths. Then click the Change button and pick a letter from the pull down list.
