Guest Dave Candi Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Can I install Vista along side XP as a dual boot system? I have a dual core 64bit cpu. Will I have to get the vista drivers for all my hardware or will Vista have these already for me? I'm planning on buying a second sata hard disk to install Vista. Just hope this is gonna be not to much trouble. Any advice much appreciated.

This depends on your configuration which is unstated. >I'm planning on buying a second sata hard > disk to install Vista. Just hope this is gonna be not to much trouble. Probably, check your motherboard manufacturers site to see if there are Vista drivers (same goes for video card, sound card etc.)

Vista might include basic device drivers, if the devices' various manufacturers bothered to provide them to Microsoft in time to be testes and included. If in doubt, consult the components' manufacturers. > I'm planning on buying a second sata hard > disk to install Vista. Just hope this is gonna be not to much trouble.
