Guest win2003 beginner Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 hello, There is a folder in the server that couldn't be removed though the user is using the administrator account. The error message is "access denied", i noticed that the folder has only two tabs namely "general" and "customize"when i checked the properties. The other folder has " genral", "sharing," "security" and "customize". i tried taking ownership but it won't do. can somebody tell me how to remove this folder because it couldn't be accessed anyway even by the administrator account. Thank you

Guest win2003 beginner Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 RE: unable to delete i noticed that the permission is not inheritable no matter what i do it just won't inherit down to that particular folder. i just can't remove that folder. it says "access denied make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that file is not currently in use". is there a way to delete this? thanks for your reply "Dragos CAMARA" wrote: > did you check and the parent folder? maybe the problem is comming from upper > folder. > -- > Dragos CAMARA > MCSA Windows 2003 server > > > "win2003 beginner" wrote: > > > Thanks for your reply but I tried doing these both but none of them solved > > the problem, I hope you can still give other suggestions because I need to > > remove that folder. > > > > Thanks again > > > > "Dragos CAMARA" wrote: > > > > > hi, > > > check subinacl command. > > > -- > > > Dragos CAMARA > > > MCSA Windows 2003 server > > > > > > > > > "win2003 beginner" wrote: > > > > > > > hello, > > > > > > > > There is a folder in the server that couldn't be removed though the user is > > > > using the administrator account.
