Drive 0 is partitioned to F: and G:, I am able to access G: but I get this

message when I try to access F: "This operation has been cancelled due to

restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system

administrator."

I am the administrator and only user of this computer for years. I want to

rename my drives but am unable to due to this restriction. Is there any

hope for me?????

What to do please???

Thank you

You might operate the pc as one of the "administrators" but not the

"administra-

tor" the s makes alot of diffrence in xp..As for the hd,try uninstalling it

in device-

mgr,or in diskmgmt.XP will reinstall on start-up.Or,tap the F8 key on

start-up,

select safe mode, enter xp as the "administrator" perform the tasks...

More ridiculously incorrect information from our resident troll Andrew E.

To the OP, you haven't gotten any answers because it is unclear exactly

what you are trying to do. I'm not sure what "rename my drives" means.

Please post back with more details after looking at this link:

http://www.dts-l.org/goodpost.htm

That will show you what to include in your next post.
