Guest joboils@hotmail.com Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Is there, anywhere, a list of XP-comapatible programs which users have found are incompatible with vista? (I don't mean stuff like printer drivers - although that would be annoying enough - but full programs.) TIA.

Most times, the software company's website will point out which version, if any, is the Vista-compatible one. More often than not, companies are making only their current versions Vista-compatible and earlier versions (those compatible with XP) are being "left behind". Adobe Acrobat is a good example. Acrobat 8 was released earlier this year and Adobe said they would put out an update making Acrobat 8 compatible with Vista which they have indeed done. Earlier versions (Acrobat 6 and 7), however, would not get any such updates. I hope this helps, Frank B.
