Can't access photos on RW-CD

I have been scanning photos with Picture It and saving them onto a RW-CD.

After getting tower back from additional RAM installed in the shop, I can't

access the photos.

Error Message: Attempting to change to directory E: gave unexpected error

code 1005.

Can't save onto a CD, same error message.

By default the cdrom or rw should be D: Where did E: come from.If youve

added hds or changed the default letter of the cdrw, then you must edit that

in the registry also.Go to run, type:regedit

Expand:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/softwar-

e/microsoft/windows/setup,open source path.L.click on the text

"installation" go

to edit, modify, change from D: To the letter in my computer,exit.L.click

source

path the same, exit registry when thru.

Hi Noble,

Code 1005 didn't bring forth a cornucopia of answers, so as long as this

situation correlated to the time you brought your machine in, have those

guys look at it. After all, it's possible they are the ones that "mucked"

it up.

RE: Can't access photos on RW-CD

E: is the drive it's always been. D: is labeled recovery on my computer, E:

is labeled CD-RW and F: is DVD. Thanks.

And, I may have to take it back to the shop, it's just it is 1/2 hour drive

on a good day and I am disabled and have trouble carrying it to the car.

Re: Can't access photos on RW-CD

more on the same question.

Before I came here to this forum and read that you can't format CD in XP and

also before I took my computer in for more RAM, I had been able to format a

RW-CD and to save scanned photos onto it. I had also been able to open that

CD and send a photo (insert photo) into an email.

I was able to go to My Computer and format the disc. I don't know why since

you all say it isn't possible in XP, but I swear I did it and also saved onto

it after it was formatted.

Now, I get a message that my CD is corrupted. Is there some way to get the

photos back long enough to copy them on my hard drive or use the RecordNow

feature of XP and make a CD I can use?
