If you mean the Show Desktop icon that goes on the QuickLaunch Bar:

Copy/paste the below into notepad, then click file/"save as" and call it

"show desktop.scf" and drop it on the desktop. You can drag it from

there to the QuickLaunch bar.

[shell]

Command=2

IconFile=EXPLORER.EXE,3

[Taskbar]

Command=ToggleDesktop

The keyboard shortcut Windows+D always works like a charm.

Maybe Dave doesn't have his quick launch enabled.

If that's the case I got this from the Microsoft site:

1.

If the Quick Launch bar is not displayed, right-click an empty area on

the taskbar and click Properties.

2.

On the Taskbar tab, under Taskbar appearance, select the Show Quick

Launch check box and click OK.

- Click the Show Desktop icon in Quick Launch toolbar. You can enable it by right

clickinging taskbar > Toolbars > Tick "Quick Launch".

or

- Press Windows Key+D

or

- Press Windows Key+M (minimize windows only)

Good Luck, Ayush.
