Guest Newbie Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Hi, I have a very strange problem where the "search" in Windows XP doesn't always find the files I need. I have changed the viewing in Explorer so it shows all hidden/system files. I did, however disabled Indexing service. But from what I understand, indexing should only speed up searches, correct? In this case, it goes very quick and returns 0 found. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Then you're using it wrong, or you're mistyping the name that you're searching for.
