True but do eMachines, HP, Packard Bell, Dell, et al include or even

mention a UPS when they sell their machines?

Re: "People came back and said, 'Please, will you take this off and replace it with XP?'"

People have reported better performance with Windows Vista compared to

Windows XP on the same computer.

Those people with relevant comparisons have compared a Clean

Installation of Windows XP to a Clean Install of Windows Vista on the

same hardware.

It really sounds like Windows Vista is not right for you.

And since Windows XP will probably be supported for several more

years, there is no reason to upgrade unless there is something needed

in Windows Vista.

Try this and tell us which performs better.

Perform a Clean Installation of Windows XP on typical hardware

available at the time of Windows XP release nearly 6 years ago.

Do the same with Windows Vista with typical hardware available 6

months ago.

Which computer has the best performance?

Windows Vista performs well on two of my older computer.

I couldn't agree more with those last two sentences.

You see the same thing with *every* new version of Windows that is

released.

OE *never* forced you to top post. It was always your choice. OE

placed the cursor for top-posting by default, but you could always

move it where you wanted.

I used OE for newsgroups for years, and never top-posted.

If you value performance, then you will detest WinMail. Running XP

in a virtual machine to get OE is a Vista possibility. The develpers main

objective with WinMail was reforming the database. They made losing the

store less likely. Mission accomplished! Oop...uh, well gosh - at the cost

of making msimn repulsive. Well, so who uses it anyway? Negative cash

flow, right? If users go to web services MS can hope for regular payments.

Microsoft could get nagged into making Windows' internet mail & news

client somewhat less awful, but it's as if there's no will - too much

nagging.

Alias...It does not matter whether they mention it or not...Common sense

demands it....I bet most people (with brains) have surge protection on there

TV's....Battery backup is simply a wise thing to do if you do not want to

lose info...The big computer builders are in the business to sell computers

and if someone toasts one all the better...Being a electronics geek I have

always thought this way even before I got my first computer which was win95

by the way

No, they figure UnbuttTu users are so full of sh*t that they produce

enough methane gas to run their own power generators in times of power

failures.

All they recommend to them is that they purchase a URR (Universal Rectal

Receptor) which will facilitate the hookup between their ass and their

generator.

It's the "free" thingie...you know...UnButtTu is free and so is their

gas...!

Most recent idiotic quote added to KICK (Klassic Idiotic Caption Kooks):

"They hacked the Microsoft website to make it think a linux box was a
