Vista home basic desktop

my desktom keeps saying that it is not responding and closes itself down. i can still run any programs i am on aslong as they are not minimized. it has gone now. its done it loads of times over the past coupple of weeks. can any one help?:confused:

Not knowing more it's hard to say.

 

What are your system specs?

Does your model have any updates you can install?

 

Do you have any programs such as file sharing we need to know about?

Do you have all the Vista updates?

Do you have updated antivirus and antispyware installed?

If so which ones?

Have you run any scans?

If so did they find anything?

 

Have you done anything prior to the problem showing up? A few more clues might help us.

i have super anti spyware and malaware and hijak this as reccomended by you. i use bitcome torrent downloader to download freeware but have done for a long time and only use the sites recomended by them. when and if i ever use it. i do not no if i have all the latest vista updates and dont no how to check

i run full system scans weekley and anything that does come up is rectified instantley
