Guest LMO Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Aloha all. I posted this before, but missed the answers...sorry. I have a Card Reader in my computer. It reads 9 different types of memory cards. I use SD, 1GB cards. When I put them in they are read fine, but whenever I try to write to the card I am told the card is write protected. It is not. I have the tab in the correct position...have tried in both ways. Nothing I can do to get the system to see the card as unprotected. What can I do? Thanks!

Uninstall it from device manager reboot and reinstall the driver when the device is detected. Guest LMO Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Re: Card Reader not working? How do I know which driver is for the card reader? Under Hardware/Device Manager, it just shows Intel ICH8 Family USB Universal Host controller (7 of them), and USB Root Hub (again 7), but doesn't identify the Card Reader. Thanks.
