Hello,

I developed a COM service that works very well.

When the system is going to suspend\stand by a message (ID 262) form

PlugPlayManager is queue in Event Viewer.

The message is "The service "MYSERVICE" voted a power event request".

The system enter suspend and everything looks ok, except this message.

Why i still get this message? how to solve the problem?

Thanks

Tamar

RE: Windows XP Event Viewer warning message

Explanation

The system's attempt to put the computer into a power-saving state was

blocked by the specified service.

Stopping the service may allow the system to go into a power-saving mode,

but it may also cause other problems.

User Action

To help the system restore its ability to go into a power -saving state,

close all programs and restart the computer.

If the system still cannot go into a power saving mode, you might need to

update or remove the program or component associated with the service.
